About the Symposium
The Pre-Symposium of ZMPC2027 & International Symposium on Porous Materials 2027 (ISPM2027) will take place on July 23, 2027, at the University of Tokyo, Japan, immediately before ZMPC2027 in Okinawa.
Porous materials, including microporous, mesoporous, and macroporous materials, have attracted considerable attention because of their important roles in addressing global challenges related to energy, resources, and the environment. Advances in the design, synthesis, characterization, and applications of porous materials are essential for the development of a sustainable and carbon-neutral society.
The International Symposium on Porous Materials (ISPM) series was launched in 2019 and has been held annually since then. ISPM2027 will mark the 9th edition of the symposium. The ISPM series provides an international forum for researchers, particularly young scientists and students, to exchange ideas and discuss recent advances in porous materials science and technology. Building on the success of the previous eight meetings, ISPM2027 will be jointly organized with the Pre-Symposium of ZMPC2027.
The scientific program will consist exclusively of invited lectures by leading researchers from Japan and abroad, covering fundamental and applied aspects of porous materials. We hope that this symposium will stimulate fruitful scientific discussions, strengthen international collaborations, and foster new networks among researchers across generations.
